About Us

Hammer Lighting & Grip, Inc. is Indiana's largest lighting and grip equipment rental company and one of the largest in the Midwest. We are here to serve your equipment needs for your next commercial, documentary, independent film, industrial video, corporate event, or still photo shoot. Founded on the principles of convenience, efficiency, dependability and cost savings, we work toward that end every day. We are based in Indianapolis but we can go anywhere. We’re built to travel. We would love to have an opportunity to outfit you on your next shoot.

We currently stock equipment from the top manufacturers in the business. We rent dollies from J.L. Fisher; lighting from Mole-Richardson, Arri, Cinemills and Kino-Flo; grip equipment from Matthews and American Grip; generators from LitePower and Honda; and a whole lot more. We have HMI’s from 200 Watt to 18K, tungsten up to 10K as well as the Midwest’s best selection of rigging and mounting hardware. We have an inventory of newer grip trucks from our 1 ton Sprinter Van package to our large and spacious 5 ton. All trucks have big lift gates, racks, and carts and are designed by the technicians that use them, keeping them efficient and easy to use. Our equipment is well maintained, reliable and it looks good too! We also stock a full complement of bulbs and expendables in our showroom and we sell the equipment that we use. So, if you just can’t stand the thought of renting anymore and you want to buy, we can help.
